What are the mechanics

  1. The promo is exclusive for the following Metrobank credit and debit cards:

    a. Metrobank Peso Visa/Mastercard, Metrobank Vantage Visa/Mastercard, M Free Mastercard, Titanium Mastercard, Platinum Mastercard, World Mastercard, NCCC Mastercard, PSBank Credit Mastercard, Toyota Mastercard, Rewards Plus Visa, Femme Visa, Femme Signature Visa, Cashback Platinum Visa, Travel Platinum Visa and Metrobank Debit cardholders in good standing only.

  2. The promo is not applicable to ON Internet Mastercard, Metrobank Dollar Mastercard, Metrobank Prepaid and YAZZ Prepaid Visa cards.

  3. Promo runs from September 30, 2023 to December 31, 2023 only (“promo period”).

    a. AXA booth in The Metrobank Fair (Cebu): November 17 – 19, 2023

    b. Online via Metrobank & AXA Smart Traveller page axa.com.ph/travel-insurance?partner=mcc from September 30 until December 31, 2023.

  4. Promo is exclusive for purchases made through either the AXA booth in the Metrobank Fair Cebu (from November 17 to 19, 2023) or through the Metrobank & AXA Smart Traveller page: axa.com.ph/travel-insurance/?partner=mcc (from September 30 to December 31, 2023).

  5. Use your Metrobank credit or debit card and input the Group Code MBAXA20 to get 20% premium reduction on travel insurance.

  6. Available for travelers aged 18-70 years old for adults and 0 -17 years old for children which must be accompanied by their parents or guardian.

  7. For travelers age 71 years old and up, please call our AXA customer care hotline to assist you and provide the code MBAXA20.

  8. Qualified Metrobank cardholders are entitled to avail of the Group Code MBAXA20 for purchase of travel insurance provided that the sale transactions are settled within the promo period.

  9. Applies to new Domestic and International Smart Traveller Single Trip and/or Annual Multi-Trip policies.

  10. The Group Code MBAXA20 may be used for multiple purchases within the promo period. Failure to key-in the appropriate promo code shall disqualify the cardholder from availing the discount.

  11. The travel insurance coverage will be valid within the travel period that will be indicated upon purchase.

  12. Valid government-issued ID of the traveler is required to purchase AXA Smart Traveller.

  13. Qualified Metrobank cardholders must visit either the AXA booth in the Metrobank Fair - Cebu (from November 17 to 19, 2023) or the Metrobank & AXA Smart Traveller page: axa.com.ph/travel-insurance/?partner=mcc (from September 30 to December 31, 2023) and proceed with the following steps to avail of the promo – refer to step by step guide below:

    a. In the AXA Smart Traveller page, click "Get a Quote" and enter the following travel details:

    • Trip Type - Single Trip or Annual Multi-trip

    • Trip Type 2 – International or Domestic

    • Origin

    • Destination

    • Departure date

    • Return date

    • Number of adults and children travelling

    • Group code: MBAXA20

    b. Based on travel details entered, select the desired travel insurance plan based on preferred set of benefits and coverage amount limits. Note: Reduced premium will be reflected when selecting the plan.

    • For international travelers, select either Essential, Classic, or Elite plan type.

    c. Indicate required details of the traveler including beneficiaries.

    d. Review travel insurance plan selected, travel details, and personal information entered.

    e. Settle payment by clicking "Buy Now".

    f. On the payment page, indicate and pay using the qualified Metrobank credit or debit card.

    g. Once payment has been made, a confirmation and a copy of the travel insurance policy will be sent through the cardholder’s nominated e-mail address.

    Note: The terms of use and other policies of the AXA website shall apply.

  14. By availing of the AXA Smart Traveller under this promo, the cardholder agrees and consents that his/her personal data (e.g. name, birthdate, gender, address, email address, card number, expiry date, CVV, etc.) may be used, collected, processed and/or stored by AXA in accordance with its data privacy policy/ies for the purpose of implementing this promo.

  15. Metrobank and AXA Philippines reserve the right to modify, suspend, or change the service or certain terms and conditions thereof subject to DTI approval. In the event that, modifications, suspension or changes are made, these will be posted on the Metrobank website immediately.

  16. The use of the Metrobank credit and debit card in connection with this promo is subject to the terms and conditions governing the issuance and use of Metrobank credit and debit cards.

  17. Metrobank reserves the right to disqualify a previously approved transaction subsequently cancelled or charged back within the promo period. Should a cardholder receive the discount, but was later on deemed unqualified for not meeting the requirements of the promo due to disputes arising from, but not limited to, erroneous, invalid, fraudulent or unauthorized transactions, the cost of the discount shall be charged by Metrobank to the cardholder’s credit or debit card account.

  18. The terms and conditions governing the issuance and use of Metrobank credit and debit cards, reminders and other provisions contained in the card carrier, statement of account, charge slips and other documents or instruments, which are made an integral part hereof by reference, shall likewise be resorted to in instances where they are applicable in this promo.

  19. Any dispute concerning the products or services of AXA under this promo shall be settled directly between the cardholder and AXA. Metrobank shall not be responsible for any liability in the event of such dispute.

  20. In case of dispute in respect of Metrobank only and the cardholder’s availment of and eligibility for the promo, the decision of Metrobank shall be considered final.

  21. By joining or availing of this promo, the cardholder confirms that he/she has read, understood and agreed to the promo mechanics and its terms and conditions.
