Metrobank activates protocols to ensure minimal business disruption

The health and safety of our customers, our partners, and our Metrobankers are of the utmost priority. During this time of government-declared public health emergency in the Philippines,we would like to assure the public that the Bank has Business Continuity Plan protocols to ensure that disruptions to our operations and services are minimized or mitigated as we manage the evolving COVID-19 situation.

Metrobank has already activated its Emergency and Disaster Response Plan for Infectious Disease, whereby heightened precautionary measures and sanitation practices including multiple scenario handling have been put in place at all our branches and offices. This includes intensified efforts to improve hygiene and sanitation at the workplace with more frequent disinfection of common areas, distribution of alcohol supplies, and other initiatives.

We have also activated measures to help manage work with social distancing, in accordance with the best practice guidelines from the Department of Health (DOH) and the World Health Organization (WHO). We have alternative communication channels in place to allow employees to continuously work remotely if the need arises.

To minimize disruption from the community quarantine imposed on the National Capital Region (NCR), we advised affected Metrobankers to secure a certification that states their work place address.

All our banking services are operating normally, except for adjustments in banking hours and cut-off times in response to similar adjustments in schedule instituted by the BSP and the BAP.

Metrobank is continuously monitoring the situation and will update our stakeholders should there be any significant developments. Rest assured that we will do our best to fulfill our promises of keeping both our customers and our fellow Metrobankers in good hands.
