TERMS AND CONDITIONS FOR 3X REWARDS POINTS ON FOREIGN CURRENCY, HOTEL STAYS AND ONLINE SPEND

The Metrobank World Card 3x Rewards Points on Foreign Currency, Hotel Stays and Online Spend Program (“Program”) is open to all existing and newly approved Metrobank World Card credit cardholders in good credit standing only (“Cardholder”). Good credit standing refers to cardholders whose accounts are not delinquent, not under investigation due to suspected fraudulent activities, those whose Metrobank credit cards are not reported lost or stolen, and those who have not, otherwise, violated any of the Metrobank Credit Card Terms and Conditions.
Metrobank World Cardholders shall earn one (1) Reward Point for every PHP 20 spend for both local and foreign currency, hotel stays and online transactions.
For posted foreign currency, hotel stays and online transactions, Cardholders shall earn an additional two (2) Rewards Points or a total of three (3) Rewards Points for every PHP 20 spend.
Foreign currency transactions refer to purchases made at both online and in-store merchants abroad or outside the Philippines, which are identified by system indicators as foreign currency transactions, and are processed by the respective merchants as such, through the Mastercard/Visa network. Foreign exchange rates may be viewed from the Metrobank website.
Online transactions refer to purchases made at e-commerce merchants in the Philippines or abroad / outside the Philippines, which are identified by system indicators as e-commerce transactions.
Hotel stays refer to transactions made at online or in-store merchants in the Philippines or abroad outside the Philippines, which are identified by system indicators as hotel stays transactions. These transactions should be processed by the respective merchants as hotel stays transactions, through the Mastercard/Visa network.
For items 4, 5, and 6, system indicators are defined by the relevant merchants and/or their respective acquirer and are not defined by Metrobank.
The Rewards Points are computed on a per transaction basis and shall be rounded down to the nearest whole number.
Rewards Points accumulated by both principal and supplementary cardholders shall be credited to the principal’s account within two (2) statement cycles from transaction date.
Rewards Points earned from this Program can be exchanged for rewards items specified in the Metrobank Card Rewards Catalogue, applied as payment for annual fees, converted to air miles or cash credits/rebates, or donated to charity by checking Metrobank Interactive Assistant (MIA) via Facebook Messenger at m.me/MiaOfMetrobankCard.
Cardholders shall only earn a maximum of three (3) Rewards Points for every PHP 20 spend regardless of whether a single transaction falls under multiple eligible categories.

With the 3 Rewards Points for every PHP 20 spend on eligible foreign currency transactions, Cardholders shall, in effect, be entitled to earn 1 air mile for every PHP 17 spend. For the other transaction categories, Cardholders may earn 1 air mile for every PHP 50 spend. To illustrate:

Unused Rewards Points will be forfeited after the voluntary or involuntary cancellation of his/her credit card.
Rewards Points are not cancellable, not transferable and are not convertible to cash (but redeemable via cash credit). Other than their intended use in this Program, the Rewards Points hold no other commercial or financial value.
This Program is subject to the Metrobank Credit Card Terms and Conditions and the Metrobank Credit Card Rewards Program.
Metrobank reserves the right to suspend, cancel or modify the program as deemed necessary with prior notice in a manner Metrobank deems appropriate, without prejudice to approved applications prior thereto.
Metrobank reserves the right to reverse or charge to the Cardholder’s credit card account the equivalent rewards points earned on transactions that were subsequently cancelled or charged back due to disputes arising from, but not limited to, erroneous, invalid, fraudulent or unauthorized transactions.
Metrobank reserves the right to disqualify any Cardholder from further participation in this program if the Cardholder defaults in his payment or, if in Metrobank’s judgement, the said Cardholder defaults in his payment, or if in Metrobank’s judgement, the said Cardholder has violated these Terms and Conditions and/or the Metrobank Credit Card Terms and Conditions, and Metrobank’s Foreign Exchange program.
By joining or availing of this Program, the Cardholder confirms that he/she has read, understood, and agreed to these terms and conditions.
