No annual fees plus up to PHP 1,000 cashback with minimum spend required using Metrobank Visa credit card.

The Metrobank Visa Welcome Gift Promo 2025 (“Promo”) shall run from October 1, 2025 to December 31, 2025 extended until February 28, 2026 (“Promo Period” or “Card Application Period) only.
The Promo is open to newly approved and qualified principal Metropolitan Bank & Trust Company (“Metrobank”) credit cardholders (“Cardholders”) who:
a. Have applied and submitted complete application requirements within the Promo Period and were subsequently approved in any of the following cards;
Metrobank Rewards Plus Visa
Metrobank Cashback Visa
b. Do not have an existing or cancelled principal credit card issued by Metrobank and have not had one in the last six (6) months.
Qualified Cardholders must activate the newly approved Metrobank credit card and reached the required accumulated minimum Valid Spend within the spend period.
3.1 Welcome Gift

3.1.1 Valid spend shall only include the following posted transactions:
a. Straight retail transactions (inclusive of domestic, international & online transactions.),
b. Bills2Pay or Paybills via MBOA,
c. Retail/Merchant Installments (covering only the principal amount of transactions approved within the Spend Period)
d. Special Installments (covering the principal amount posted within the spend period) such as Balance Transfer and Cash2Go.
e. Valid transactions made by supplementary cardholders will be included in the computation of principal cardholder’s annual spend;
3.1.2 The following transactions and fees will not be considered as valid spend:
a. Add-on interest,
b. Fees and charges (covering card fees, cash advance, balance conversion, balance transfer, PayNow, send money, late payment , loan)
c. Balance Conversion installments,
d. PayNow,
e. Loans
f. Cash advance
g. Quasi-cash transactions (e.g. funding Grabpay or Maya Wallet),
h. Send Money
i. The transactions with credit adjustments resulting from merchant-initiated credit adjustments and transaction disputes
j. Recurring Payments
k. Other miscellaneous fees
3.1.3 Cash credit cannot be exchanged for rewards points, cash, other products or discounts
3.1.4 Redemption of Cash Credit
a. The SMS will be sent within 14 calendar days from the date the customer reaches the required spend, confirming that they have successfully met the promo requirements.
b. They must follow the redemption procedure below:
Cardholder must redeem the welcome gift within 30 days from the start of redemption period.
Cardholder must go to https://metrobankcard.mymcc.gift.
Note: They will be redirected to Giftaway’s redemption page, an external website owned by Metrobank’s third party provider.
Note: The redemption page will never ask for the card number, expiry date, or CVV.
Cardholders will receive a one-time password that they would need to input on the page.
Once successfully entered, users will be redirected to a page displaying all Metrobank Credit Card promos they are eligible to.
Cardholder must search for ‘Welcome Gift 2025’.
Cardholder must click “REDEEM NOW”, otherwise redemption process will not be considered complete.
Note: The cash credit will be reflected in your account within 30 days after redemption.
3.2 Spend Based Annual Fee Waiver

3.2.1 The posting date of the transactions will be the basis for Spend Based Annual Fee Waiver.
Illustration:
a. Principal Cardholder's credit card application is approved on October 15,2025 ("Anniversary Date"). By virtue of Metrobank's non-promo offer, the annual fee is waived for the first year by default. The Cardholder will therefore not be charged the annual fee for the first year.
b. The Annual Spend Period will always run from October 15 of the current year until October 14 of the following year.
c. If the Cardholder meets the Annual Spend requirement within this period, the annual fee for the succeeding year will be waived.
Example: For approval on October 15, 2025, the first Annual Spend Period is October 15, 2025 - October 14, 2026. If the spend requirement is met, the annual fee due on October 15, 2026 will be waived.
d. The following year, the Annual Spend Period will again be October 15, 2026 to October 14, 2027. If the requirement is met, the annual fee due on October 15, 2027 will be waived.
e. This fixed date range will apply every year, based on the original Anniversary Date, for as long as the Cardholder meets the Annual Spend requirement.
f. If the Cardholder does not meet the Annual Spend requirement for a given period, the corresponding annual fee will be charged on the Anniversary Date and reflected in the statement of account.
3.2.2 Valid spend in the Annual Spend computation shall only include the following posted transactions below:
a. Straight retail transactions (inclusive of domestic, international & online transactions.),
b. Bills2Pay or Paybills via MBOA,
c. Retail Installments & Special Installments (covering only the amortized principal amount posted within the spend period) such as Balance Transfer and Cash2Go.
d. Valid transactions made by supplementary cardholders will be included in the computation of principal cardholder’s annual spend;
e. Cash Advance
3.2.3 The following transactions and fees will not be considered as valid spend:
a. Add-on interest,
b. Fees and charges (covering card fees, cash advance, balance conversion, balance transfer, PayNow, send money, late payment , loan)
c. Balance Conversion installments,
d. PayNow,
e. Loans
f. Quasi-cash transactions (e.g. funding Grabpay or Maya Wallet),

h. The transactions with credit adjustments resulting from merchant-initiated credit adjustments and transaction disputes

j. Other miscellaneous fees
Cardholders must maintain good credit standing on their principal credit card to remain eligible for the welcome gift and annual fee waiver.
Should there be any change/s in the cardholder’s Metrobank-registered mobile number, it is the responsibility of the Cardholder to update his/her contact information by calling the Metrobank Customer Service Hotline at (02) 88-700-700.
In the event that the Cardholder requests for an upgrade, downgrade, conversion, cancellation or any change to the qualified credit card at any time, they will be disqualified from the promo and the corresponding amount of the welcome gift or annual fee will be charged to the customer. The promo is non-transferable and will not be carried over to the newly upgraded, converted, or changed credit card.
Metrobank reserves the right to disqualify any Cardholder from further participation in this Promo if the Cardholder is delinquent, defaults in his/her payment or, if in Metrobank’s judgment, the said Cardholder has violated these Terms & Conditions and/or the Metrobank Credit Card Terms and Conditions.
Metrobank reserves the right to disqualify a previously approved transaction that was cancelled or charged back within the Promo Period. Should a Cardholder receive the Welcome Gift or Waived Annual Fee but was later on deemed unqualified for not meeting the requirements of the incentive due to disputes arising from, but not limited to, erroneous, invalid, fraudulent or unauthorized transactions, the cost of the gift or annual fee shall be charged by Metrobank to the cardholder’s credit card within 30 days.
All questions or disputes regarding the Cardholder’s eligibility for the Promo or for any redemption shall be resolved by Metrobank, at its discretion, with the concurrence of the DTI. All inquiries and disputes related to the Promo must be submitted no later than December 31, 2026. Beyond this period, Metrobank will no longer accept or process any claims.
All credit card applications shall be subject to Metrobank’s final approval and applicable terms and conditions. Cardholders shall be notified of the credit decision via SMS or email. The Cardholder, if any, authorize Metrobank to issue, at its discretion, the appropriate credit card product/s in case they are qualified for membership after due credit evaluation has been done
Any dispute concerning the products or services availed to meet the spend requirement shall be settled directly between the cardholder and the appropriate merchant with the concurrence of the DTI.
The use of the Metrobank Card in connection with the Promo is subject to the Metrobank Credit Card Terms and Conditions.
Employees of Metrobank are not eligible to join this Promo.
By joining or availing of this Promo, the Cardholder confirms that he/she has read, understood and agreed to the promo mechanics and these Terms and Conditions.
