Register for the Promo



  1. The Spark Joy Promo (“Promo”) runs from October 24, 2025 to February 28, 2026 (“Promo Period”).

  2. The promo is open to all new and select existing deposit clients who successfully register for the promo.

  3. One-time Giftaway eGift certificates (“eGift*”) worth up to PHP 10,000 will be awarded to registered clients who maintain the required Promo Average Daily Balance (ADB)** in their Metrobank Personal Peso Deposit Account/s for six (6) months after the account opening month (for new deposit clients) or 6 months after the month of successful registration (for existing deposit clients).

PROMO ELIGIBILITY AND REQUIREMENTS

  1. To qualify for the promo, deposit clients must be at least 18 years old at the start of the promo period and must register an active local mobile number*** with Metrobank.

    *** The Bank will not be liable if the client provided an invalid email address or local mobile number. To receive updates about the promo, clients must ensure their registered email address and mobile number with Metrobank are updated and active.   2. New deposit clients must:
    a. Open their first Metrobank Personal Peso Deposit Account from October 24, 2025 to February 28, 2026 at any Metrobank branch or open an eSavings account via the Metrobank App or Earnest App. To download the app, go to:

    b. Register for the promo:

    • For accounts opened via Metrobank branch: within seven (7) calendar days of account opening.
    • For eSavings accounts opened via Metrobank App or Earnest App: within seven (7) calendar days upon full verification of the eSavings account.

    c. Meet the Promo ADB** by depositing fresh funds into their Metrobank Personal Peso Deposit Account/s and maintaining it for at least six (6) months after the account opening month.

  3. Existing deposit clients must:
    a. Have at least one active Metrobank Personal Peso Deposit Account opened on or before December 31, 2024;
    b. Register for the promo from October 24, 2025 to February 28, 2026; and
    c. Meet the Promo ADB Increase** by depositing fresh funds into their Metrobank Personal Peso Deposit Account/s and maintaining it for at least six (6) months after the month of successful promo registration.

PROMO REGISTRATION

  1. Select clients will receive an official promo notification from Metrobank via SMS and/or email with the promo registration instructions.

  2. Existing deposit clients must register for the promo from October 24, 2025 to February 28, 2026.

  3. New deposit clients must register within:
    a. For accounts opened via Metrobank branch: seven (7) calendar days of account opening
    b. For eSavings accounts opened via Metrobank App or Earnest App: seven (7) calendar days upon full verification of the eSavings account

  4. Registration must be done via Giftaway by:
    a. Visiting the Giftaway portal for the Spark Joy Promo here; and
    b. Entering their Metrobank-registered mobile number.

  5. Clients who have not received an official promo notification but wish to join the promo may register via one of the following options:
    a. Via the Metrobank Contact Center: Call (02) 88-700-700 and request to register for the “Spark Joy Promo.” During the call, the Customer Service Representative will conduct an identity verification as part of the standard process.
    b. Via Email: Using the email address registered with Metrobank, send an email to onlinechannelsupport@metrobank.com.ph with the details below:

    Email Subject: Spark Joy Promo
    Email Body: Please register me for the promo

  6. Upon successful registration for the promo, a confirmation SMS and/or email will be sent by Metrobank to clients within 14 banking days.

PROMO OFFER

  1. Registered clients are entitled to a one-time eGift* provided they deposit the required fresh funds and maintain it for at least 6 months after the account opening month (for new deposit clients) or after the month of successful registration (for existing deposit clients) to reach the required Promo ADB or Promo ADB Increase**.

  2. After completing the 6-month Maintaining Period, clients will be notified via SMS and/or email within 25 banking days that their eGifts have been awarded***.

eGIFT REDEMPTION

  1. eGifts are valid for redemption only within 180 calendar days after the receipt of the notification confirming the eGift/s have been awarded (“Redemption Period’).

  2. eGifts may be redeemed by following the steps below:
    a. Visit the Giftaway portal for the Spark Joy Promo here;
    b. Log in using the client’s Metrobank-registered mobile number;
    c. Choose a brand/item for which the client wants to redeem the eGift; and
    d. Click the “Claim” button then click the “Use This” button to redeem the eGift

Terms & Conditions

1. Only clients who meet the promo eligibility and register for the promo qualify for the offer. 
2. The offer is valid for both new and existing clients who meet the Promo ADB or Promo ADB Increase** by depositing fresh funds into their Metrobank Personal Peso Deposit Account/s and maintaining it for at least 6 months after the month of account opening (for new deposit clients) or 6 months after the month of successful registration (for existing deposit clients). 
3. New deposit clients should not have closed account/s in the past six (6) months to qualify for the promo. 
4. All types of Metrobank Personal Peso Deposit Accounts are eligible, except:     
  • Time Deposit Accounts  
  • Foreign Currency Accounts (FCDU)  
  • Retail accounts tagged as DBA (“Doing Business As”), i.e. Retail accounts used for business purposes    
5. Joint-Or/And and ‘In-trust-for’ accounts are eligible for the promo, provided that all named depositors are either first-time Metrobank deposit clients or all are existing clients and they meet the same eligibility requirement. 
6. Business or Corporate Accounts are not considered personal peso deposit accounts and are therefore excluded from the promo.  
7. Prepaid Cards are classified as e-money, which are not linked to any deposit accounts, and are therefore excluded from the promo. 
8. Metrobank eSavings account opened by new deposit clients must be fully verified to be eligible for the promo.   
  • Clients must fund their eSavings account with a minimum initial deposit of PHP 2,000 within 7 calendar days from account opening to meet the maintaining balance requirement and avoid account closure. 
  • The eSavings account is semi-verified upon account opening and allows for a monthly aggregate deposit limit and balance of PHP 30,000. The account will be reviewed for full verification status within 2 banking days. 
  • Clients whose eSavings accounts have failed the full verification process will be notified by Metrobank and will be asked to withdraw their deposit before account closure.    
9. Metrobank employees with Payroll and/or Personal Peso Deposit Account/s may qualify for the one-time eGift, provided they meet the promo eligibility, mechanics, and terms and conditions. 
10. Clients with Metrobank payroll accounts are qualified as long as they meet the promo eligibility, mechanics, and terms and conditions. Newly opened payroll accounts from January 1, 2025 onwards will not be eligible for the promo.  
11. During promo registration, the client must use a valid and active local mobile number, that matches the contact details already registered with Metrobank. Metrobank will not be held liable for any issues arising from invalid or inactive contact details, including the inability to receive advisories or updates related to this promo.  
12. Each client must only register once regardless of the number of personal peso deposit accounts opened or owned. 
13. Clients who registered for Spark Your Interest Promo from March 15 to September 30, 2025 (per DTI Fair Trade Permit No. FTEB-231040 and FTEB-217740) are no longer qualified to register to this promo.  
14. The deposit/s will be deemed eligible only when the funds are from external sources and have not been part of any Metrobank account, products, and other branch (“fresh funds”). Funds transferred from another Metrobank account or product or branch are not considered fresh funds and are therefore ineligible for the offer. 
15. Only fresh funds from the following external sources will be considered: 
  • Interbank/e-wallet transfers via InstaPay and/or PESONet 
  • Interbank checks 
  • Remittance 
  • Cash deposits made over the counter (OTC) or through cash accept machines (CAM)  
Payroll credits are not considered fresh funds and therefore, will not be part of the ADB computation.  
16. The standard initial deposit and maintaining balance requirements for Metrobank deposit accounts still apply. 
17. The Average Daily Balance or ADB is the average ending balance in a client’s account over a given month. It is computed by adding the ending balance for each day of the month and dividing the total by the number of days in that month.  
18. For new deposit clients, the “Promo ADB” refers to the average of the deposit account’s monthly ADB over the 6 months after account opening month:  

Promo ADB = [Sum of the 6 monthly ADBs] ÷ 6

19. For existing deposit clients, the “Promo ADB increase” refers to the variance between the deposit account/s’ balance averaged over the 6 months prior to promo registration (“baseline ADB”) and the ADB resulting from the additional deposit/s made following successful promo registration, maintained and averaged for 6 months thereafter (”promo ADB”):   

Promo ADB Increase = [Promo ADB] - [Baseline ADB]

20. The ADBs referred to in this promo will be determined by considering and combining the balance of all eligible Metrobank Personal Peso Deposit Accounts belonging to a single client. 
21. For Joint-Or/And and ‘In-trust-for’ accounts, the Average Daily Balance (ADB) will be attributed solely to the principal or primary accountholder.  
22. Each registered client can only avail of the promo once, regardless of the number of personal deposit accounts opened/owned. 
23. eGifts may only be redeemed within the Redemption Period. All unredeemed eGifts after the Redemption Period and unused eGifts after the expiration date indicated in the SMS and Self-help tracker will be forfeited. 
24. Once the eGifts have been awarded by Metrobank, the responsibility of redemption and possible transfer will be passed unto the client while the fulfillment will be the accountability of Giftaway. 
25. Metrobank will not accommodate any request of clients to cancel, reverse, or apply for other incentives or rewards once a valid redemption has been made or once eGifts have been forfeited. All redemptions will be considered final. 
26. Applicable delivery and other processing fees from the stores where the eGift/s are redeemed must be shouldered by the client. The terms and conditions relating to the use of the Giftaway Universal eGift indicated in the Giftaway website shall apply.  
27. Metrobank is not an agent of Giftaway and makes no representation as to the quality of the goods and services provided by Giftaway. All feedback regarding quality of the goods and services provided by Giftaway and/or its merchants should be directed to Giftaway. 
28. The promo offer is non-transferable and non-convertible to cash. 
29. Metrobank reserves the right to disqualify a client from receiving the eGifts due to disputes arising from but not limited to, fraudulent transactions or deposits made within the promo period from non-external sources. 
30. The offer under this promo cannot be used in conjunction with any other ongoing Metrobank Deposit promotions.  
31. By participating in this promo, the client confirms that s/he has read, understood, and agreed to the promo mechanics and its terms and conditions.  
32. The promo is subject to the Terms and Conditions of Metrobank. In case of dispute, the decision of Metrobank will be final, subject to prior approval of DTI. 
33. Any amendment to the Terms and Conditions is subject to the approval of DTI. Clients will be notified of any changes through the appropriate channels.  
34. Deposits are insured by PDIC up to PHP 1 Million per depositor.  
35. Metrobank is regulated by the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas https://www.bsp.gov.ph.
