The Metrobank Spark Your Interest Wave 2 Promo (“Promo”) is from July 14 to September 14, 2025, and is extended until September 30, 2025 (“Promo Period”), as approved by DTI-FTEB.
The promo is open to select personal deposit accountholders who will meet the Promo Average Daily Balance (ADB) Increase* required by depositing fresh funds into their Metrobank Personal Peso Deposit Account/s and maintain it for at least six (6) months after the month of successful promo registration.
To qualify for the promo, the client must:
a. Be 21 years old and above by December 31, 2024;
b. Register an active email and/or local mobile number with Metrobank;
The Bank will not be liable if the client provided an invalid email address or local mobile number. To receive updates about the promo, clients must ensure their registered email address and mobile number with Metrobank are updated and active. c. Have at least one existing and active Metrobank Personal Peso Deposit account opened on or before June 30, 2024;
d. Register for the promo via SMS, email, or the Metrobank Contact Center during the promo period;
e. Receive an SMS from Metrobank confirming his/her successful promo registration;
f. Deposit fresh funds into his/her existing Metrobank Personal Peso Deposit account/s; and
g. Maintain the required promo ADB increase* for at least 6 months after the month of successful promo registration.
Qualified clients will be entitled to a corresponding one-time cash gift** if they maintain the required promo ADB increase* for at least 6 months after the month of successful promo registration.

The cash gift will be credited to the client’s earliest active and eligible Metrobank Personal Peso Deposit Account within 25 banking days after completing the 6-month maintaining period.

Qualified clients will be notified by Metrobank via SMS and/or email once the cash gift has been successfully credited.
PROMO REGISTRATION
Select clients will receive an official promo notification from Metrobank via SMS and/or email with the promo registration instructions and unique promo code.
Clients must register within the Registration Date*** via one of the following options:
a. Register via SMS: Using the mobile number registered with Metrobank, text the unique promo code to 09191600982, a legitimate Metrobank access number.
b. Register via Email: Using the email address registered with Metrobank, send an email to customercare@metrobank.com.ph with the details below:
Email Subject: Spark Your Interest Promo Registration
Body: [Promo Code]
A screenshot of the promo notification may be required if multiple registration attempts were unsuccessful.
c. Register via the Metrobank Contact Center: Call (02) 88-700-700 and request to register for the “Spark Your Interest Promo,” providing the unique promo code. During the call, the Customer Service Representative will conduct an identity verification as part of the standard process.
A confirmation SMS and/or email will be sent by Metrobank to clients who have successfully registered for the promo.
Upon confirmation of successful registration, clients may start depositing the required fresh funds within the promo period to meet the required promo ADB increase*.
Clients who have not received an official promo notification with the promo code may still register by emailing customercare@metrobank.com.ph or by calling Metrobank Contact Center at (02) 88-700-700. A confirmation SMS/email will also be sent by Metrobank to clients who have successfully registered for the promo.
The promo is available exclusively to select Metrobank clients who will maintain the required promo ADB increase* for at least 6 months following successful promo registration.
During promo registration, the client must use a valid and active email address and/or local mobile number, which must match the contact details already registered with Metrobank. Metrobank will not be held liable for any issues arising from invalid or inactive contact details, including the inability to receive advisories or updates related to this promo.
Each client must only register once for all his/her eligible Metrobank Personal Peso Deposit Accounts. Only one promo code will be granted per client, regardless of the number of personal deposit accounts owned.
Clients who registered for Spark Your Interest Promo from March 15 to July 13, 2025 (per DTI Fair Trade Permit No. FTEB-217740) are no longer eligible to register for Wave 2.
The ADBs referred to in this promo will be determined by considering and combining the balance of all eligible Metrobank Personal Peso Deposit Accounts belonging to a single client.
The “Promo ADB increase” refers to the variance between the deposit account/s’ balance averaged over the 6 months prior to promo registration (”baseline ADB”) and the ADB resulting from the additional deposit/s made following successful promo registration, maintained and averaged for 6 months thereafter (”promo ADB”).

The deposit/s will be deemed eligible only when the funds are from external sources and have not been part of any Metrobank accounts and products (“fresh funds”). Only fresh funds from the following external sources will be considered:
Cash deposits made over-the-counter (OTC) or through our cash accept machines (CAM) and funds transferred from another Metrobank account or product are not considered fresh funds and are therefore ineligible for the promo.
All types of Metrobank Personal Peso Deposit Accounts are eligible, except:
Payroll accounts are eligible as long as they meet the promo requirements. Payroll credits are not considered fresh funds and therefore, will not be part of the Promo ADB increase computation.
Metrobank employees who maintain a Metrobank Personal Peso Deposit Account may participate in the promo, provided they meet the client and account eligibility requirements as specified in the promo mechanics and terms and conditions.
Business or Corporate Accounts are not considered Personal Peso Deposit Accounts and are therefore excluded from the promo.
Prepaid Cards are classified as e-money, which are not linked to any deposit accounts, and are therefore excluded from the promo.
For Joint-OR/AND Accounts and In-trust-for (ITF) accounts, the ADB will be attributed solely to the principal or primary accountholder.
Each primary accountholder is qualified to receive only one (1) cash gift from the promo, regardless of the number of personal deposit accounts owned.
If a client fails to maintain the required promo ADB increase* for 6 consecutive months from successful promo registration, s/he will not be qualified for the cash gift.
All disputes must be raised within sixty (60) calendar days after the cash gift has been awarded.
Metrobank reserves the right to disqualify a client from receiving the cash gift due to disputes arising from but not limited to, fraudulent transactions or deposits made within the promo period from non-external sources.
The offer under this promo cannot be used in conjunction with any other ongoing Metrobank promotions.
By participating in this promo, the client confirms that he/she has read, understood, and agreed to the promo mechanics and its terms and conditions.
The promo is subject to the terms and conditions of Metrobank. In case of dispute, the decision of Metrobank will be final.
Any amendment to the Terms and Conditions is subject to the approval of the Department of Trade & Industry (DTI). Clients will be notified of any changes through the appropriate channels.

DEFINITION OF TERMS
ADB - Refers to the average amount that an account has over a specified time period, equal to the total cumulative balances divided by the number of days.
Baseline ADB - Refers to the average of the account’s monthly ADB over the six months before the month of registration.
For example, if a client registers in June 2025, their Baseline ADB will be the average of their monthly ADB from December 2024 to May 2025.
Promo ADB - Refers to the average of the account’s monthly ADB over the six months after the month of registration.
For example, if a client registers in May 2025, their Promo ADB will be the average of their monthly ADB from June 2025 to November 2025.
Promo ADB Increase - Refers to the difference between the Promo ADB and the Baseline ADB.
Formula: Promo ADB Increase = Promo ADB – Baseline ADB
Fresh Funds - Refers to funds that are not currently held within Metrobank’s portfolio of products. Fresh funds may include: funds from other banks, remittances, and other external sources.
Fresh Funds must be transferred via inter-bank or e-wallet fund transfer (i.e. via Instapay/Pesonet), check deposit or remittance.
Personal Peso Deposit Account - A deposit account primarily for individual customers, denominated in Philippine Pesos, offering both savings and checking (current account) functionalities.
DBA Retail Accounts ("Doing Business As") - Deposit accounts opened by registered businesses operating under a trade name different from their legal business name, primarily for individual or sole proprietorship businesses.
FCDU Account - A Foreign Currency Deposit Unit (FCDU) Account is a deposit account that holds funds in a currency other than Philippine Pesos.
ITF (In Trust For) Account - A deposit account where one person (the trustee) holds and manages funds on behalf of another person (the beneficiary). It is commonly used for minors or dependents who cannot legally manage their own financial accounts yet.
For ITF accounts, the trustee is considered the primary accountholder.
Joint-OR/And Account - A deposit account held by two or more individuals (with one individual assigned as the primary accountholder), who share ownership and have defined rights regarding transactions.
For joint accounts, ADB will be aggregated to the primary accountholder.
Primary Accountholder - The primary accountholder is the individual designated as the main owner and typically has greater control and responsibility over the account.
Principal Accountholder - The principal accountholder is the primary owner of a deposit account, responsible for the account and typically possessing full transaction rights.
Pre-Registration Monitoring Period - Refers to the six-month period before the month of registration.
Promo Monitoring Period - Refers to the six-month period after the month of registration.
Registration - Refers to the process of formally registering or signing up for the promotion.
Cash Gift - Refers to the monetary incentive offered to customers who meet the ADB increase criteria for the promo. Ranges from Php 1,500 to Php 10,000 (Php 500 is offered to the "select accountholders only").
