Promo Mechanics

  1. The Metrobank eSavings Lazada Promo (“Promo”) runs from October 6 to December 31, 2025 and is extended until February 28, 2026 (“Promo Period”), as approved by DTI-FTEB.

  2. The promo is open to all new individual clients who check out the Metrobank eSavings product listing on the official Metrobank LazMall Flagship store and complete the Metrobank eSavings Account opening process via the Metrobank App or the Earnest App within the Promo Period.

  3. To qualify, the client must:
    a) Check out the Metrobank eSavings Account Opening product listing at the Metrobank LazMall Flagship Store;
    b) Open a Metrobank eSavings account by following the account opening process emailed by Metrobank within 30 calendar days after checking out;
    c) Register an active email and mobile number during the account opening process via the Metrobank App or the Earnest App, ensuring they match the contact details linked to the client’s Lazada account; and
    d) Deposit at least PHP 2,000 within the first 7 calendar days of eSavings account opening.

  4. Qualified clients are entitled to one (1) Lazada Gift Card valued at PHP 200.

Checking Out the Metrobank eSavings Account on the Lazada App

  1. Visit the Metrobank LazMall Flagship Store and choose “Metrobank eSavings Account Opening”.

  2. Tap the “Buy Now” button.

  3. Fill in the “Digital Delivery” field with an active email address that must match the contact information linked to the client’s Lazada account and to be used during account opening.

  4. Pay PHP 1 by selecting the preferred “Payment Method".

  5. Tap “Place Order” to complete the Checkout process.

Metrobank eSavings Account Opening

  1. Complete the Metrobank eSavings account opening process via the Metrobank App or the Earnest App within 30 calendar days after checking out from the Metrobank LazMall Flagship Store. The account opening instructions will be sent by Metrobank with email address info@communications.metrobank.com.ph to the client’s email address entered in the Digital Delivery field within 2 banking days after successful checkout. Alternatively, clients may copy the web address sent by Metrobank to their active email address and paste it into their browser.

  2. Deposit at least Php 2,000 into the new Metrobank eSavings account within the first 7 calendar days of account opening.

  3. Clients will receive a Welcome email from Metrobank within 3 banking days from account opening, confirming full eSavings account verification.

Redemption of Lazada Gift Card

  1. Qualified clients will receive an email or SMS notification from Metrobank with one (1) Lazada Gift Card code within 15 banking days after their eSavings accounts have been fully verified.

  2. Each Lazada Gift Card is valued at Php 200 and is valid for one-time redemption until December 31, 2027 only (“Redemption Period”).

  3. To redeem the Lazada Gift Card, the client must:
    a) Open the Lazada App and log in to his/her account.
    b) Select Lazada Wallet in the app then click the Lazada Gift Card icon.
    c) Enter the 20-character gift card code received through email or SMS from Metrobank in the field provided.
    d) Click “Redeem” and the gift card value will be credited to the Lazada Wallet.

  4. Once the gift card value is credited to the client’s Lazada Wallet, s/he may use it to purchase desired item/s on the Lazada app.

Terms & Conditions

  1. The promo is available exclusively to new individual clients who check out the Metrobank eSavings product listing on the official Metrobank LazMall Flagship store and complete the Metrobank eSavings Account opening process via the Metrobank App or the Earnest App within 30 calendar days after checkout.

  2. Clients with an existing savings or checking account are not eligible to participate in the promo.

  3. Clients with existing Metrobank credit card, loan, or cross-sold insurance products who do not have a Metrobank Peso Savings or Checking account yet are eligible to join the promo.

  4. Each client can avail of the promo only once.

  5. Clients are entitled to avail all other features and concurrent promotions for the Metrobank eSavings account.

  6. Clients who open a Metrobank eSavings account upon checkout from the Metrobank LazMall Flagship Store must agree and consent to the collection, use, disclosure, storage, transfer and/or processing of their personal data which will be used for purposes including, but not limited to the following:
    a) Processing the order for Metrobank eSavings account;
    b) Awarding of the Lazada Gift Cards; and
    c) Marketing and advertising.

  7. Cash on delivery is unavailable for orders placed through the Metrobank LazMall Flagship Store. The PHP 1 fee is non-refundable.

  8. The client must provide a valid email address and mobile number for Digital delivery on Lazada, matching the contact details linked to his/her Lazada account and to be used during account opening via the Metrobank App or the Earnest App. Metrobank will not be liable if the client provided an invalid email address and mobile number resulting to the Bank’s inability to send the Lazada Gift Card codes successfully.

  9. The Metrobank eSavings account is still subject to Metrobank’s standard verification once the Checkout process is completed on the Lazada app. Completion of the Checkout process does not guarantee eligibility for the Lazada Gift Card.

  10. A minimum deposit of PHP 2,000 must be made into the eSavings account within the first 7 calendar days of account opening to avoid account closure. The same amount applies as the account's required maintaining balance.

  11. Clients whose eSavings accounts have failed the full verification process will be notified by Metrobank and will be asked to withdraw their deposit before account closure.

  12. All unredeemed gift cards from the promo will be forfeited after the Redemption Period.

  13. Metrobank will not accommodate any client request for gift card re-issuance.

  14. The Lazada Gift Card codes are transferable but non-convertible to cash or any other Metrobank products and services. Once the gift card code has been provided by Metrobank, the responsibility of redemption and possible transfer will be passed unto the client while the fulfillment will be the accountability of Lazada.

  15. The use of the Lazada Gift Card shall be subject to Lazada’s Terms and Condition of Sale and the Digital Vouchers & Gift Cards Terms and Conditions.

  16. Metrobank is not an agent of Lazada Philippines and makes no representation as to the quality of the goods and services provided on the Lazada platform. All feedback regarding quality of the goods and services provided by Lazada Philippines and/or its merchants should be directed to Lazada Philippines.

  17. By participating in the Promo, the client agrees to follow the Promo Mechanics and these Terms and Conditions.

  18. All questions or disputes regarding the client’s eligibility for this promo or for redemption shall be resolved by Metrobank based on these Terms and Conditions.

  19. Any amendment to the Promo Terms and Conditions is subject to the approval of the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI). Clients will be notified of any changes through the appropriate channels.

  20. Deposits are insured by PDIC up to PHP 1 Million per depositor.

  21. Metrobank is regulated by the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas https://www.bsp.gov.ph.
