Metrobank exercises call option on 5.25% interest notes due 2025

As approved by the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas, Metrobank is exercising the call option on its PHP 6.5 billion 5.25% subordinated debt originally set to mature in 2025, on August 8, 2020.

Note holders will be paid 100% of the principal amount together with the accumulated interest up to August 8, 2020.

The last trading day for the notes is on August 6, 2020.
