The LOW Metrobank Foreign Currency (FX) Service Fee of 1.68% (“Promo”) is valid from November 20, 2024 to November 19, 2025 only. (“Promo Period”).
The Promo is open to all existing and newly-approved Metrobank Travel Signature Visa principal and supplementary cardholders (the “Cardholder”) in good credit standing. "Good credit standing" means accounts that are not delinquent, not under investigation for fraud, not reported lost or stolen, and in compliance with the Metrobank Credit Cards Terms and Conditions.
To enjoy the Promo, Cardholders should use their Metrobank Travel Signature Visa for their in-store and/or online foreign currency transactions and choose to have the transactions processed or billed in foreign currency other than Philippine Peso within the Promo Period.
Foreign currency transactions processed or billed in Philippine Peso at point of sale, whether executed in the Philippines, overseas, or online, shall not be eligible for the Promo.
All eligible foreign currency transactions including the following fees, totaling 1.68%, will be reflected as one line item in the Statement of Account:
After the end of the Promo Period, all foreign currency transactions processed/billed in foreign currency will revert back to the regular Foreign Currency Service Fee of 1.7%.
The Metrobank Credit Card Terms and Conditions, reminders and other provisions contained in the card carrier, statement of account, charge slips and other documents or instruments, which are made an integral part hereof by reference, shall likewise be resorted to in instances where they may be applicable in this Promo.
The promo is non-transferable, non-cumulative, cannot be exchanged for cash or products and cannot be used in conjunction with any other discounts, promotions or fixed price items, unless otherwise provided.
Metrobank reserves the right to disqualify any Cardholder from further participation in this Promo if the Cardholder defaults in his/her payment, or if in Metrobank’s judgement, the Cardholder has violated these terms and conditions, the Metrobank Credit Card Terms and Conditions and all related provisions of Metrobank’s Foreign Exchange program.
In case of any dispute in respect of Metrobank only and the Cardholder’s availment of and eligibility for the Promo, the decision of Metrobank shall be considered final with concurrence of DTI.
Any dispute concerning the products or services of any merchant shall be settled directly between the Cardholder and the respective merchant with the concurrence of the DTI. Metrobank shall not be responsible for any liability in the event of such dispute.
By joining or availing of this Promo, the Cardholder confirms that he/she has read, understood, and agreed to the promo mechanics and its terms and conditions.
