Watch out for posts that claim that Metrobank is giving away PHP 7,000 in “government subsidies.” This is not true.
These posts will lead you to a phishing site that looks like this:
If you have seen these post or have already reached the website, make sure you:
- Do NOT click on links.
- Do NOT share your Personal Identification Number (PIN), One-Time Password (OTP), Debit/ Credit Card Number, and your Card Verification Value (CVV), the 3-digit code found at the back of your card.
- Report the incident. Take a screenshot of the post or website and email it to customercare@metrobank.com.ph using “Report on Possible Fraud” as subject.
- Call the Metrobank Contact Center at (02) 88-700-700 or 1-800-1888-5775 to report the incident.
