Phishing Online Scams

Don’t be fooled by the government subsidy scam

Watch out for posts that claim that Metrobank is giving away PHP 7,000 in “government subsidies.” This is not true. 

These posts will lead you to a phishing site that looks like this:

If you have seen these post or have already reached the website, make sure you:

  • Do NOT click on links.
  • Do NOT share your Personal Identification Number (PIN), One-Time Password (OTP), Debit/ Credit Card Number, and your Card Verification Value (CVV), the 3-digit code found at the back of your card.
  • Report the incident. Take a screenshot of the post or website and email it to customercare@metrobank.com.ph using “Report on Possible Fraud” as subject. 
  • Call the Metrobank Contact Center at (02) 88-700-700 or 1-800-1888-5775 to report the incident.
